Our mission.

The purpose of 'ALL the Weyrs of Pern' was to provide a place for the many and widespread Pern RP'ers to come, hang out and plug their sites without fear of getting yelled at. Since finding a Weyr is uselessly hard these days, it was also our intent to make a big honkin' list of all the Weyrs we could scrape together, and hopefully to provide more active members for sites, and of course active sites for members wanting roleplay.

High Reaches is a pbem/zine club, about to put out our fourth zine. We're set at the end of the First Long Interval, about to enter the Fifth Pass, so Thread will be returning in a matter of months. We're mostly canon, though women can ride blues and browns.
History:
The last time Thread fell was almost four hundred and fifty turns ago. To placate the Lord Holders, the Weyrleaders closed three Weyrs two hundred turns ago, when the last Pass didn't happen.

Now, the dragon population is increasing. To cope with this, the Weyrleaders decided to reopen High Reaches Weyr. Joliene and gold Elsibeth and Nalan and gold Tansith are the designated Weyrwomen, with Joliene the Senior.

The Lord Holders haven't been happy about any of this, and
most people don't think Thread is ever going to come
back.

And, after a little more than a Turn of being open, Joliene and Elsibeth are on their third Weyrleader, and they've already lost a weyrling goldrider.

Can the young Weyr survive these challenges?
Additional Comments:
We're looking for riders of all type, and we're very short on crafters. Also, since the death of the weyrling goldrider, there will be a gold hatching at some point in sort-of-reasonably-near future, so of course we'll be on the lookout for candidates

Weyrwoman Joliene and Weyrleader Tr'vas have settled into a working partnership, though one not without conflict. The junior gold Tansith's clutch should be laid soon, and hatch a few sevendays after. The first group of weyrlings are less than three months away from graduating. All is well...

Except that High Reaches still has only six fighting wings, all under optimum strength. The only gold clutched since the Weyr reopened died, and two clutches have hatched without another. And no one, not even the Weyrwoman, knows if the Weyrleader will remain the same when her gold rises again.

Hopefully the Lord Holders will be patient with them, though it seems unlikely. At least one Lord Holder in their territory actively works against them, refusing to tithe. And Thread should begin in less than a year, assuming those who believe it will return are correct.

We're always looking for new members and we have plenty of status positions available - including a gold egg in the foreseeable future - if you're interested.

Right now, we're running a Search plot for the upcoming clutch, as well as a major harvest festival at High Reaches Hold.

In case anyone is interested, we'll be accepting candidates for Tansith's clutch - which does include a gold egg - for about two more weeks. Gold candidates should be submitted by October 7th, otherwise you won't have enough time to rp them and impress the BoD.
